Twomey is a British artist, researcher, and curator. Twomey is among the most groundbreaking and influential ceramic artists of her generation and a defining figure of the ‘expanded field’ of ceramics. In 2022, the Ceramics Research Centre was awarded the highest level of recognition for its impact by the Research Excellence Framework (REF). The CRC-UK is led by Professor Clare Twomey.
